This month, the Senate is negotiating a new economic bill and it is imperative that this package supports childcare and home-based supports for older adults and people with disabilities and strengthens our workforce who cares for them.
Join us today and urge your Senator to include the Murray-Kaine Child Care and Early Learning Proposal and make a major investment in Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) in this economic package.
These programs will enable Jewish human service agencies to:
- Increase Affordable Child Care: Help over one million new kids and families find and afford childcare by tripling existing childcare funds to all states and providing grants to all states to expand childcare supply, improve facilities, and raise compensation for early childhood educators
- Spark Innovation and Lift Wages: Invest in establishing and expanding High-Quality Preschool Grants and invest in raising wages for early educators
- Promote Community Living: Help people with disabilities and older adults eat, bathe, and work while living in their own communities and homes
